Maki Oh makes the annual list of Business Of Fashion (BoF) 500 list alongside top names from around the world.

BoF5oo is the definitive professional index of the people shaping the global fashion industry released each year featuring people from different fields including designing, models/muses, retailers, executives, media professionals, technology entrepreneurs and more.

The list is compiled based on nominations from former and current BoF500 members from around the world and BoF’s research.

Maki Oh joins Instagram’s head of fashion partnerships Eva Chen, Everlane founder Michael Preysman and singer Zayn Malik as well as existing BoF500 members including Donatella Versace, Nadja Swarovski, Adrian Joffe, Carine Roitfeld for 2016!

Last year fashion designer Lisa Folawiyo, Reni Folawiyo of Alara and Omoyemi Akerele of Style House Files joined Amal Clooney, Bruno Pavlovsky of Chanel and Caitlyn Jenner on the 2015 BoF500 list.

Maki Oh got rave reviews in 2013, when US First Lady Michelle Obama wore her piece and later invited her to  the 'Celebration of Design' event at the White House also a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2014, has garnered interest from international fashion press with a clientele list that boasts of Lupita Nyong’O, Solange Knowles and Leelee Sobieski.

The Nigerian designer and creative director with real names Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh also won an award for Best New Director at Fashion Film Festival with her video 'OMI' inspired by the powerful cultural myth of African water spirits (mami water). The designer directed the video with Papa Omotayo.
