Nigerian designer, Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh was invited on Wednesday 8th October 2014 by the First Lady Of United States Michelle Obama to join her for the 'Celebration Of Design'; a cocktail event for the FLOTUS's favourite designers at the white house.

The evening reception saw Maki Oh with fashion personalities notably Naomi Campbell, Designer, Duro Olowu, Joanna Coles; Editor in Chief, Cosmopolitan, Iconic designer; Diane Van Furstenberg and more were in attendance.
Amaka wore a piece from the her latest collection, her signature braids,a clutch and black heels. Maki Oh is the first African designer to be invited to The White House by the First Lady of The United States of America, Michelle Obama!
