The campaign is in collaboration with I am Dodos, Good Hair and Style Me Africa in a shoot for the brand’s lookbook.
The brand which was established in 2008 by Motunrayo Jimoh, is known for creating designs that are upbeat with today's fashion and some of her designs also carry a vintage look. Her creations include accessories, purses, bags and clothes. In May 2015, Maju launched an online shop for its fashion and accessories brands in a move to reach more buyers and fashion loyalists in Nigeria. Shopmaju.com has since its launch been helping ladies to discover themselves.
Earlier this year, we saw their ready-to-wear collection tagged 'Sweet, Sweet Summer' which featured Dedun Olobayo and Banke Su. The collection featured pieces from bright and fun, to chic and classy silhouettes, with the bright tones and neutrals brought to life on laces and sheer fabrics to portray the new and evolved Maju woman.
The Ember edit is a combination of work and play easy to wear outfits and for the first time, Maju strays from its usual theme of duos and opts for three women. The shoot featured models, Banke Su, Nikki Anyansi and Aduke Bey who brought the outfits to life with their poise and they were shot by talented photographer of Trip City Visuals, Jerrie Rotimi. The Ember Edit comes in time for Maju’s shopping party which will be held at the BMW 100 Year Celebration on Saturday 10th September 2016.
