Actor/rapper is eclectic on cover of British GQ Style

Jaden Smith is known for opposing masculine norms with his ‘gender fluid’ fashion sense looks more classic yet eclectic, this time, on the cover of British GQ Style magazine’s S/S ‘16 issue.

2016 has been a great year for the 17 year old rising entertainer, Jaden Smith, as the son of Jada and Will smith started the year as the face of Louis Vuitton’s womenswear campaign in January, which made headlines.

For the GQ spread, Jaden is ditching his skirts for a slightly more classic attire. The 17-year-old rapper showcased his long dreaded locks, while bending down in the black and white image, the celebrity is seen wearing a black bomber jacket over a crisp white shirt and a black skinny tie.

He finished his look with black trousers and sneakers while he embellished the ensemble with large rings and a pendant.

In another shot, the Karate Kid star wears a checked shirt and black blazer while accessorizing with a beaded charm necklace. Meanwhile, for the cover image, shot by photographer Terry Tsiolis, the Louis Vuitton brand ambassador has his dreads swept out of his face while peering into the camera.

The 'Scarface' rapper’s love for pushing the boundaries in terms of  fashion and gender has been chronicled in pictures where he is wearing skirts. His father, Will Smith, is in full support of his son’s choices, as he explained, “There's a really powerful internal quality as an artist that as parents we encourage.

You've got to get out on the edge. You have to try things, you have to be comfortable doing things people don't agree with and you have to be comfortable with doing things that you could fail. And Jaden is 100 percent fearless.

He will do anything. As a parent, it's scary, it's really terrifying but he is completely willing to live and die by his own artistic decisions and he just doesn't concern himself with what people think.”

The SS16 issue for GQ Style will hit newsstands from the 17th of March, grab a copy for more of the interview. What do you think of the actor's cover?
