British-Ghanaian Enninful succeeds Alexandra Shulman who is set to leave the revered fashion publication after twenty-five (25) years. Born in Ghana, the creative and fashion director who moved to London at a young age had a brief stint with modelling at age 17.

An OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) his outstanding contribution to fashion was acknowledged by the British monarchy in October 2016.

His impressive resume spans i-D, American Vogue, Italian Vogue and W Magazine where he was a former style director since 2011. He's to assume his new role in August 1st 2017.

He is "an influential figure in the communities of fashion, Hollywood and music which shape the cultural zeitgeist by virtue of his talent and experience, Edward is supremely prepared to assume the responsibility of British Vogue." Condé Nast International chairman and chief executive Jonathan Newhouse shared about him in a formal announcement via Vogue.

He makes the first African to take on the reins at Vogue.
