This past weekend, TV presenter and style star, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu got married in Abuja and he donned not one but four suits on his big day. He gave us 4 tips about wearing suits.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu got married over the weekend to his longtime lover, Cynthia Obianodo in a star studded affair and we got 4 ‘suitspiration’ tips from the groom in his four suits by Mai Atafo and his dashing groomsmen styles:
First, be comfortable: No matter what event is at hand, be it your wedding or just another day at the office, make sure you’re at ease. Your suit shouldn’t be too tight or restricting.
Get that fit right: Nothing will ruin a lovely suit faster than a horrible fit. The suit has to be tailored to the max and the hemlines, especially at the bottom of the pants, should be tight and not sage or spill.
Be playful: Don’t be afraid to stray away from the traditional black or midnight blue, especially for your special occasions, try textures too but just be careful that your supporting pieces are too loud so the look is balanced.
Stand tall: When you have incorporated all of the above tips, then you want to wear confidence, not cockiness, as your final piece and stand out when you get to your event or occasion.
You can always find these four tips in Ebuka at any point, when he is in a suit. Try out some of these tips when next you’re thinking of wearing a suit. Also, which of Ebuka’s four suits do you prefer? Let us know below.
