Republican candidate's daughter sued by Aquazzura
Italian luxury brand Aquazzura is reportedly suing Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump!
The Italian luxury brand officially filed a copyright infringement case against Republican candidate Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump's eponymous brand after claims the latter copied the former's designs.
Aquazzura's founder Edgardo Osorio first made the claims against Trump earlier this year where she called her out on Instagram with a picture of his brand's design beside the former model and businesswoman's (Trump) design.
He posted the side by side picture of the pairs on Aquazzura's Instagram with a caption; "One of the most disturbing things in the fashion industry is when someone blatantly steals your copyright designs and doesn't care. You should know better. Shame on you @ivankatrump! Imitation is NOT the most sincere form of flattery. #aquazzura #ivankatrump Proud of mine #madeinitaly #italiansdoitbetter."
Osorio has accused Trump's label of "repeated infringement" and "deceptive trade practices" with the lawsuit citing Aquazzura's best-seller, the 'Wild Thing' sandal as being replicated in Ivanka Trump's Hettie design.
Trump's brand released a statement dismissing the allegations as baseless but Aquazzurra is proceeding with legal action.
