Before now (seasons ago), the trend looked extreme and one that would be in one season and out the next but this style has remained. Trends fizzle out over time but the ripped/distressed jeans never seemed like one to remain years later. (Who would have thought denim cut up into pieces in any way; shredded or slashed would become a thing and stay HOT?)

The ripped/distressed denim trend made a major appearance in 2013 and they have been reemerging in more bold styles season after season making style enthusiasts give the bold look a second thought, happily pairing it in different ways.
Perfect with a well tailored blazer on ladies or guys, creates one of the most effortlessly chic androgynous look for ladies, the 'rip' gives the look an edgier feel especially when much more exaggerated and daring in different styles like boyfriend, acid wash and plain 'slashed' giving the finished look a bold yet effortless feel to it.
The trick is to pick 'rip styles' that are not unnecessarily 'funny' (though this again depend on your style and how you can pull it off). It's best to go with styles that fit a lot more look when paired for different styles.
They can be paired basic as well as they can be dressed up or made casual. They've become celebrities' favourite all around the world, it's a look reserved for the bold and stylish fashion lover who loves to bring a bit of drama to his/her get-up.
The major thing you can't take away from the ripped denim is the 'stylish drama' it brings with it.
Do you own the ripped denim trend in any style? How are you loving it?
