Top Delta State Government officials, members of Fashion Designers and Exhibitors association were present at the Best Western Hotel, Asaba for the inauguration of the Delta Fashion Designer.
The Convener of the Delta Fashion Designer (DFD) and Founder/National President of the Fashion Designers & Exhibitors Association (FADEA), Mrs. Oreva Okowa, who is also the CEO Signature Secret expressed her gratitude for the support and turnout of guests at the event.
In place of the Executive Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, was the Delta State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry; Barrister (Mrs.) Mary Iyasere, as the Chief Launcher of The Delta Fashion Designer.
Other notable personalities at the event included; Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters; Chief Festus Ochonogor, Chief Mrs. Nkem Okwuofor; Head of Service who represented the Wife of the Executive Governor, Commissioner for Lands & Survey; Barr. Dan Okenyi, Commissioner for Housing; Arc. Joseph Ajiri Ogeh, Commissioner for water resources; Mr. Fidelis Tilije, and Commissioner for Information; Barr. Patrick Ukah.
Others include; Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Omosola Williams, Commissioner for Environment; John Nanny, Commissioner for Energy; Mr. Newworld Safugha, Commissioner for Special Duties, Governor’s Office; Dr. Henry Sakpra, Commissioner for rural development, Chief Job Creation Officer of Delta State; Prof. Eric Ebo and the Executive Sec. on Delta State Small Micro Medium Enterprise Development Agency.
The day’s lineup included a cocktail and fashion show hosted by Signature Secret Fashion School Old Students Association. In addition, certificates were issued to new graduates by Mrs. Oreva Okowa to the 2015/2016 new graduates.
During the Fashion show, Mrs. Oreva Okowa showcased her 10 year old daughter Olivia Okowa as CEO of Secret Kids Academy, who was also the youngest designer of the event. The motto of the Delta Fashion Designer is ‘Creativity at its best’.
