Maiden edition of annual conference set to hold this July

Event themed "InterConnected" is geared towards bringing together Nigeria’s brightest and youngest entrepreneurs, thinkers, innovators and reformers on Friday July 1, 2016.

This year’s edition is themed "InterConnected" and the objective is to get Kids to see themselves as part of a global community and to challenge the assumption that at such a young age, making an impact in one's community is impossible.

According to Yemi Akamo; “the purpose of this conference was birthed in a bid to inspire, educate and motivate the young generation in Nigeria and Africa.”

The aim of TEDxKids@Gbagada's conference is to help young people to be able to open up their minds to creating things that will impact the global community irrespective of their age, race, colour, background, and geographical location.

The speakers for this conference includes:

Zuriel Oduwole:  a 13 year old who is known as the world’s youngest film maker, storyteller and speaker. She has met and interviewed 19 world leaders to talk about education and Africa. She’s a typical example of future Africa and has delivered speeches across the globe.

TJ Emore: TJ is a sax- wonder boy; he has performed in over fifty prestigious shows, released a full album and lends his skill to drive positive change in his community.  He is 14 years old.

Kofoworola Jolaoso:  Kofo has passion for performing, speaking and leadership. At just thirteen, she is the president of volunteer club in her school as well as the chairperson of the student
