She Leads Africa 2015 Kasope Ladipo-Ajayi emerges as winner with OmoAlata

Kasope Ladipo-Ajayi, founder of OmoAlata, a brand that produces Nigeria’s first NAFDAC-approved 100% organic packaged blended peppermix, emerged as winner after a very tightly contested pitching contest.

Kasope Ladipo-Ajayi, founder of OmoAlata, a brand that produces Nigeria’s first NAFDAC-approved 100% organic packaged blended peppermix, emerged as winner after a very tightly contested pitching contest at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos on Saturday September 26th, 2015.

Kasope who introduced 'OmoAlata Foods' to the judges – Mo Abudu, Tunde Folawiyo, Issam Darwish, Omobola Johnson, Eme Essien, Genevieve Sangudi, and a representative of lead sponsor, GTBank, with her confident pitch before walking away with the $10,000 prize money for a first place finish.

Kasope was followed by Kambili Ngozi Ofili-Okonkwo of 'Kamokini', a Nigerian swimwear brand, who won the $5,000 second place prize money.

Second runner-up on the day was Ngozi Opara of Heat Free Hair Movement, which produces natural curl hair extensions, thereby taking home the $1,000 third place prize money.

Other finalist that pitched at the event were Imoteda Aladekemo of Heels in the Kitchen, Brenda Katwesigye of Instahealth and Louisa Kinoshi of BeautyRevNG.

First prize winner, Kasope goes home with mentorship, technology prizes from Etisalat, and 3-month support from Zippy Logistics, in addition to the $10,000 prize money for a first place finish.

It was a tightly contested pitching game with various contestants from around Africa competing for the grand prize.
