The initiative, which majorly targets final year students of Lagos State University (LASU) and Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) is aimed at equipping over 500 students at the pilot scheme with the critical skills and know how necessary to either become employable or become employers of labour. The program which is set to run for 13 weeks (Saturdays only) during the second semester of the school year had some students wondering if transportation would be made available for interested students.
The students were informed that in order for them to graduate from the program, they must demonstrate commitment and a sense of self responsibility at the very least as well as having attended at least 21 out of the 24 sessions and have shown themselves to be punctual at all times.
At the end of the program, the students will then be given the opportunity of an internship with a blue-chip organization in the state or win a seed funding for successful business pitches of their business plans.
