On November 6, 2015, the Lagos Creative Industry Fair, Eko Akete, kicked off with the Nigerian Entertainment Conference Live Series. Some notable industry personalities were hand to speak at the first ever NECLive Series on a number of topical issues including ‘Power of Photography – Pictures in A New Age’ and panel conversations titled ‘Protecting Intellectual Property’ and ‘Bridging Pathways to the Creative Industry of Our Dreams’.

Some of the moderators and panelists who spoke at the event include; Olisa Adibua, Toni Kan, Jahman Anikulapo, Victor Akande, Yaw, Yetunde Babaeko, Tunde Laoye, Chris Ihidero, Femi Falodun, Olori Supergal, Ayeni Adekunle, etc. In his welcome address, the convener of the conference Ayeni Adekunle said, ‘We have a country of a very talented people, Nollywood has made giant strides, the opportunities are amazing, we need to study local trends and see what we can localize and make our own’.
The Lagos Creative Fair continues till the end of next week at Freedom Park with performances from top Nigerian musicians and masterclasses by Nollywood personalities.
