Showgear, a leading supplier of musical instruments and sound equipment in Nigeria, has teamed up with leading Nigerian artistes to produce a set of free concerts to mark the first Lagos edition of Make Music Day.

The event tagged Make Music Lagos will mark Make Music Day (also known as the World Music Day) a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. The planned activities in the city of Lagos are part of a global celebration of music making in over 700 cities inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique.

Showgear invites everyone from professional musicians to people who have never picked up an instrument to join in the global music celebration by attending the Make Music Lagos concert where artists like Cobhams Asuquo; Timi Dakolo; BEZ Idakula; Tosin Martins; Olufunmi; Pita Linus; Mike Aremu; IBK Spaceshipboi; Wole Oni; DJ Mordu; Da Boomsha, Ambassage and others will be performing. Admission is Free!
