Labo Entertainment boss, Olabisi Akanbi bags 2 new honours

In recognition of his numerous contributions to the society, new honours has poured in for Labo Entertainment boss, Olabisi Akanbi with two separate awards coming from Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN) and Cadet Network.

The record label owner has been instrumental to the career of entertainers such as Dotman and DJ Tough among others in the creative industry.

He recently bagged ‘National Outstanding Leadership Awards of Excellence’ from the organization as a recognition for his humanitarian interventions and for becoming a symbol of hope for young people in the South of Nigeria and indeed, across the country.

According to Hon. Ahmed Ifeoluwa, Chairman, SYAN, the award was presented to Olabisi Akanbi, “In recognition of his leadership acumen, passionate professional capabilities, fervent and productive contribution to humanity and the country at large.”

Comprised of youths from the 17 states of the southern region, SYAN is a legislative youth organization that rallies youth leaders together on one platform where they can familiarize with the process of lawmaking and get involved in formulation of youth-friendly policies via engagement with National and State House of Assemblies, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate maven and creativepreneur was adorned with Honourary Membership badge and conferred with a recognition as Patron of the Cadet Network of Nigeria.

Conveying the honour, Cadet Lt. Gen. Joshua Fatoye, General Officer Commanding of the association underlined Akanbi’s impressive reputation as a professional and youth leader as some of his key attributes.

With your new honour, we want to stress that it is our common responsibility to add value to the lives of the youths in our society, as the youths are seen as the future leaders of the nation," Fatoye said.

"We count on you as a youth ambassador and partner-in-progress to work together to positively impact the Nigerian youths."

“I count it as a big honour for Nigerian youths to deem me worthy of honour," Akanbi said.

"This places a huge responsibility on my shoulder as a youth ambassador to continue to inspire our teeming youth population."
