Executive producer talks about artist line up and plans for concert
DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide, Olu Maintain, Paul Play, Styl Plus, and Tony Tetuila to perform live at Muson Centre this month.
The upcoming gig will be celebrating Nigerian musicians who have made a significant impact in the music industry since the 90s to present day.
The show, which will be held at the Shell Hall of the Muson Centre, Onikan in Lagos will see the likes of DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide, Olu Maintain, Paul Play, Styl Plus, and Tony Tetuila, take the stage.
Following the announcement of the concert in October, there’s been chatter about the artist line up and their popular hits. Although the excitement is present, some have questioned the absence of icons like 2face Idibia from the list.
“We are not in a rush for a 2face or Raskimono’s Greatest of All Times Concert”, said Omoyeni Disu, the Executive Producer of the show in a statement.
“The concert is here to stay, it isn’t a one off show. This is a yearly concert, so we understand that people have their demands, but we intend to hit another milestone with next year’s show”.
The event will also feature new school artists like Aramide and Shaydee. The event seeks to bring together different genres and generations of music.
Disu has assured music lovers that the concert will live up to the expectations.
“We are working on a number of creative ways to thrill the audience come November 14,” she said.
