Guests also enjoyed a bonding segment for parents and teenagers, including contributions from Ata Ashiru, Dr. Jumoke Adedoyin, Tomi Hodonu, Remi Makanjuola, and Taiwo Oniru-Akintokun during a panel session, photo sessions with the author, and other exciting activities that made the four-hour event a huge success.
Designed to empower teenagers, the book also includes a thoughtful manual for parents, making it a must-have for families navigating the challenges of adolescence on the journey to fulfilled potential.
Following a successful pre-launch event in Atlanta, Gbadamosi expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support and reception. "Unleash Your SuperPowers for Teens is more than just a book - it's a movement aimed at equipping young people and their families with the tools to harness their potential and reach their highest capabilities," she shared, highlighting the book's significance. "The positive feedback from Atlanta underscores the importance of this work, particularly for those who may lack access to such resources."
"As we continue this journey, I am excited to announce that we will be hosting a special book soiree in Lagos later this September to officially unveil the book and, most importantly, to mark the beginning of our “Sponsor a Student” and “Sponsor a School” campaign with a mission to reach even more students and families, empowering them to create brighter futures," Gbadamosi added.
Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees taking to social media platforms including Instagram, to share their excitement. "It was such an impactful event. Thank you for using your strengths! And encouraging us to use ours. It’s impossible to experience Foluso Gbadamosi and not catch the strength fire!" an excited Remi Makanjuola wrote. Tosin Durotoye echoed the sentiment “In fact! I could’ve stayed there all day! Especially because @redefinedhome had those lovely seats all over! Such a memorable event”.
Dr. Sade Adeyi loves the concept of the book and that it allows parents and their teenagers to read simultaneously and work through the reflective questions together and individually. “I believe this book will be used not only by teenagers and their parents but also in other settings where teens gather, e.g., schools, social/community groups or even when playing team or individual sports – just about anywhere the abilities and talents of a teenager needs to be identified and harnessed.”
The event was expertly curated by Kehinde Oniru of Africa Fashion Week Atlanta and Ngozi Ngonadi of The Ngee Show, whose attention to detail ensured a memorable experience for all participants.
