The 9th Annual Christmas Charity Ball of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish is scheduled to hold at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, December 6, 2015
The ball is a fun evening of music, comedy and dancing with lots of prizes to be won and grand prize of Two Million Naira.
Be prepared because Ali Baba and Gordons will be hosting the event.
The Annual Christmas Charity Ball is designed to demonstrate the abiding love of God through interventions that last beyond the season. A few of the most recent beneficiaries of previous balls include:
General Hospital, Gbagada and Healing Stripes Hospital, Victoria Island: Received 3 dialysis machines worth N4 million each.
LOTS Charity Foundation: Received funds (in partnership with MTN Foundation) to buy land to ensure sustainability in caring for the poor and abandoned children of ‘Dustbin Estate,’ Ajegunle.
Kirikiri Prison, Navy Town Road in Ajegunle: 40 solar powered street lights installed which has improved security and the quality of life of residents in the area.
Vocational Training: 50 drivers were trained in partnership with AA Rescue and the Lagos State Government.
The theme of this year’s ball – Starlight – reminds us that our Lord Jesus Christ is the bright and morning star bringing light to a dark world, while also speaking to the role of the church to be a ‘light’ by serving our communities and nation in practical ways.
Tickets for the ball are N30,000 each and the proceeds will go to two projects:
Support internally displaced persons from the parts of North-East Nigeria that have been ravaged by Boko Haram.
Solar Traffic Lights: Provide additional funding to complete installation of traffic lights on COD Church Road to alleviate gridlock often encountered on the road and further strengthen the route’s expediency as an alternate route for the toll highway.
City of David is committed to impacting its community positively and they invite you to join them for a fun evening or partner as a sponsor. For sponsorship and other enquiries, please call 0809 096 9933.
