Biire is an indigenous community based organization (CBO) established in 2006 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC No.39245) in response to the fight against HIV & AIDS with particular focus on Prevention of Mother to Child transmission (PMTCT).
The word, Biire translates literally to ‘Safe Birth’ or more applicable ‘Bundle of joy’ and the aim of this CBO is to use prevention of mother to child transmission as an entry point to HIV & AIDS prevention, care and support amongst women of child bearing age including their partners using a family centred approach.
