The African Leadership University held its Reimagine University event at Greensprings School,  Lekki, Lagos on Saturday, October 15, 2016, where they held sessions with secondary school students in Lagos.

Reimagine University event kicked off with Ms. Mena Odu, Communicating for Impact Faculty, African Leadership University, guiding students from Greensprings School and Doregos Private Academy as well as parents in attendance through the philosophies of the school.

This was followed by a discovery session where students were divided into different groups of buyers and sellers and asked to roleplay a business transaction, followed by a debrief of the exercise and a Q & A session.

Also at Reimagine University event, Temitope Stevens, a student of African Leadership University came on to speak to students about his experience at the school. Next came Helen Brockelewey, Head of Greensprings School, Anthony Campus, who hailed African Leadership University’s good work.

Ms. Temidayo Akinya, HR Manager at Ringier Nigeria, a partner of African Leadership University, also spoke to students about internships and the importance of gaining real-life work experience while you learn.

Rounding off the first session, Mr Eguono of Guaranteed Trust Bank also spoke to students on the advantages of having real-life work experience before graduation.

The second session of Reimagine University event was led by Ms. Odu of African Leadership University’s had students from The Lagoon School, Supreme Touch International School, Heritage Home School, Sparks Academy, and University of Ilorin.
