If you find it relatively easy to fall asleep but you find that you are still tossing, turning, and waking up at odd hours of the night, here's what you can do to get a restful night:

Take an evening bath:

In addition to getting you relaxed, it evens out your body temperature and makes it ideal for a night’s rest. It also puts your mind in a more serene place for sleep.

Sleep in the nude:

Sleeping naked has actually been traced to better reproductive processes and semen production. If you don’t feel comfortable sleeping naked, get very loose and lightweight pyjamas. Also learn how to sleep in the heat and in the cold. For optimal sleep quality, sleep with your arms and head exposed.

Play with your pillows:

Pillow support is important, because you don’t want to wake with with a neck ache. Make sure your pillow is firm and stuffed enough to put your neck at the right angle. Also, a pillow between the legs when on your side will support the hips and one behind your back will provide back support.

Test sleep postures:

First, you want to always make sure that your head and your neck are approximately in a straight line. Also avoid sleeping on your back, if you have to place a pillow under your hips.

Sensitivity to light:

Too much light can be detrimental when you are trying to sleep. Lights indicate to our body that it is either sleeping time or wake up time. It can seriously disturb your sleep pattern when you have the wrong kind of lighting at night time.
