2 Great Home Remedies For Split Ends

Split ends are heartbreaking its almost a case of watching your hair fraying helplessly especially when we don't want to have to trim them everytime and this is usually due to excessive heat, substandard hair products, stress and more lifestyle habits. Split ends can be treated at home in between salon appointments.

Today, we would go through 3 quick home remedies to take on split ends:

1. The Olive Oil, Avocado & Egg White Treatment

Ingredients:

Avocado, peeled

Egg whites

Olive oil

Mash up the avocado and mix in the egg whites and olive oil. Whip until you obtain a creamy consistency like conditioner. Apply to your hair, cover with a shower cap and let sit for 45 minutes to an hour.  Rinse thoroughly and wash hair with a mild, natural shampoo to get the mixture out but let the nutrients keep working.

Olive oil is incredibly moisturizing for dry, damaged hair and will also make your hair more silky and shiny.  Avocado as well contains many nutrients and vitamins for healthy skin and hair, egg whites are also nourishing and moisturizing these ingredients make a wonderful treatment for split ends, and will help nourish the rest of your hair as well.

2. Pawpaw

Ingredients:

1 small Pawpaw, (de-seeded and skinned)

½ cup plain yogurt

Cut the pawpaw in half and scoop out the seeds, then use a knife to remove the skin. Mash it up with a fork and then mix in the yogurt, whipping it until you obtain a smooth consistency.  Apply to hair like conditioner, and put on a shower cap and let it sit for 45 minutes to an hour. Rinse thoroughly, but for this one you don’t have to worry about washing out the smell – it actually smells quite nice!

Pawpaw is rich in protein and amino acids, which can help to make hair stronger. Mixed with plain yogurt, it makes a luxurious hair mask that will make your hair silky smooth and strong.
