Prestigious African beauty event set to hold on November 30th 2014

National Heritage Awards and Miss Heritage Nigeria's date announced...

The first ever African themed beauty pageant, Miss Heritage Nigeria and National Heritage Awards has set a final date for Sunday, November 30th 2014. The first of its kind event back for the 4th edition which will see notable dignitaries in attendance is set to be the biggest beauty pageant of the season.

Awards will be given out to individuals, institutions and corporate bodies that have distinguished themselves in cultural related areas and have also supported youths in their different walks of life. While the Miss Heritage Nigeria, a platform to show case the true beauty of the African woman, our African designs, Arts and Acts will see contestants strutting the runway in decent and uber stylish African pieces.

With the theme for this year set as " Unity & Culture" no form of nudity will be portrayed as such there won't be a bikini parade.

The event which focuses on youth empowerment and development is out to promote African culture,  heritage,  tourism, re-orientation and reviving of unity through Culture.

Chairman of the day is Mr. Tony Akiotu; GMD DAAR Communications, Chief Host is His Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)  Executive Governor of Lagos State while the mother of the day is Her Excellency Dame Abimbola Fashola ,Wife of The Executive Governor Lagos State.

Guest Speakers are Dr. Mrs Sally Mbanefo; DG Nigerian Tourism Development Cooperation, Mr. Oladisun Holloway, Commissioner Ministry of Tourism Lagos, Royal Father of The Day is Oba Idowu  Abiodun Oniru, Oba of Oniru Land.

Nominees for this year's event incude Her Excellency Dame Abimbola Emmanuella Fashola, Chief Dr.Opral Benson, Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye, Sen. Ita Giwa, Hajia Abba Folowiyo, Prof. Patrick Utomi, Mr. Chris Oputa, Mrs Bolalane Austin-Peters, Mr.Tony Elemelu, Lady Onyeka  Owenu , Mrs Rachel Bakam, Access Bank, Ebube Nwagbo, Mr. Tobechukwu Illbliss Ejiofor, Mrs Mayo Oyedetun, City FM, Amb. David Egwu, Amb. Utchay Odims, Mr. Chima Anayso, Mr. Gbanga Oyeyiga and Mr. Clement Enajemo of Mudi Africa.

Dress code is stylish African.
