Men's sexual health issues are not as publicised as those that affect women, but they do exist and are more common than you would think.

These problems range from erectile dysfunction or impotence, performance anxiety, delayed ejaculation,premature ejaculation, low sexual desire or low libido, and sexual aversion.

Rather than taking supplements, incorporate the following foods/fruits in order to improve your sexual health.

  1. Walnuts- Family and weight-loss medicine physician, Dr. Spencer Nadolsky, recommends walnuts as the number food for men’s health. This is because it does a lot of things including improving sperm vitality, motility, morphology in healthy young men, endothelial function (the health of the lining of our blood vessels),and helps with better erections.
  2. Watermelon- This contains lots of citrulline, which may alleviate erectile dysfunction, especially if it’s caused by high blood pressure. It also improves male sexual function/performance by increasing blood flow to muscle tissue.
  3. Leafy Greens- These contain lots of nutrients including magnesium which is very good for male sexual health. “One great thing that magnesium does is dilate blood vessels, which essentially is what Viagra was trying to do – increase blood flow to the male genitalia to get a better erection,” Thurman, a health expert, adds.

  4. Chocolate- “Every time they’ve studied chocolate for cardiovascular health and diabetes, they always find that it is beneficial,” says physician and Endocrinology Fellow, Dr. Karl Nadolsky. It improve your ability to get an erection by improving your circulation, which can help with blood flow to your genitalia.
