Chewing gum is widely seen as bad for dental hygiene as it's attributed to tooth decay but it may not all be true!
A study recently released in a journal; PLoS ONE shows that chewing gum may be as beneficial to oral hygiene as flossing!
Researchers had people chew gum and use floss for different periods of time and after they were done, the bacteria left in their gums were analyzed and they found the same amount as with people who flossed properly!
