Everyone's got habits- unknowingly bad ones ruining your skin/getting in the way of your desired flawless skin and overall appearance.

These habits seem harmless and inconsequential but they are not as at the end of the day, they end up causing possible lasting damage to skin and overall appearance robbing most ladies of the confidence they would otherwise have.

These habits usually overlooked are probably the reason your overall appearance isn't as ' on fleek' as you want:

1. Skipping Haircuts/ Trims

Regular haircuts/trims are essential to get rid of split ends to keep hair healthy. Get this done professional so you end up with even, healthy hair.

2. Not Wearing Sunscreen

Wear sunscreen everyday especially if you have to go out in the sun a lot. It's become convenient these days as you can easily snag a moisturizer/body lotion with sun protection. Whatever you do, wear suncreen.

3. Not Taking Off Your Makeup After Each Day

Always take off your makeup after each day, never wear makeup to bed as this damages the skin. When you are asleep, the skin sort of renews itself and when its done with dirt and grimes on the surface the result will be breakouts and other sorts of blemishes.

4. Not Moisturizing

Some people don't moisturize, especially when they have oily skin and this shouldn't be as the skin needs moisturizer to renew and replenish itself. Staying off moisturizer damages the skin as it causes it to lose its glow and elasticity as well as reduce moisture meant to be locked in.

All there is to do is to identify the type of moisturizer that works well for your skintype. For instance someone with oily skin should wear non greasy/water based /light moisturizers while someone with dry skin might want to use one a bit heavy and oil based and so on.

5. Touching The Face

Hands should stay off the face as otherwise they transmit germs to the face resulting in acne and other forms of breakouts causing blemishes on an otherwise smooth and healthy looking skin!
