3 simple habits that should form a healthy lifestyle

It is not easy to live a healthy life in today's world due to the expansive nature of activities from work life to carrying out family and even humanitarian duties . All of these lead to various health complications that puts one's life at risk.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle are certain things that can be done to maintain a healthy life. They are not expensive and are achievable so long the mind is willing to do it for the goal of living well.

1. Drink water

The need for this cannot be overemphasized neither does it need much explanation as it has been stressed over and over again. Water makes up more than half of the human body and is the most important thing the body needs. No surprise that one can go without food for days but the same cannot be said about water.

The benefits of water are numerous but one of the key things it does is to cleanse the body. Regular intake of what makes up more than 70% of the earth's surface will clean the body of impurities and excess waste, not forgetting proper digestion of food. Rather than go for factory-made products that claim to cleanse the body, why not just grab a bottle of water and see the effects of what will not only be a healthy body but a glowing one as well.

2. Rest and more rest

The world is extremely busy and it is hard to rest. While this is a reality, there needs to be time created for it. A lack of rest leads to elevated stress levels which in turn leads to depression and anxiety disorders, a lack of confidence, poor work ethic, low self-esteem among other psychological disorders. Not only does a lack or rest lead to psychological disorders but it can lead to problems for vital organs of the body, especially the heart and brain.

No matter the busy schedules, time must be taken out to rest. Rest can come in different forms asides sleeping or relaxing on the bed. Carrying out hobbies and other leisure activities like exercising, reading, cooking, singing, listening to music, solving puzzles, traveling, viewing entertaining content among many other things, all have therapeutic value which in turn has a feel-good effect on the body, thus keeping it healthy and in shape too.

3. Smile

A look at the television, newspaper, social media and there's not much good news coming out these day, especially in this part of the world. It is one anomaly to the other that makes one question their existence and if life is worth living in the midst of the madness.

Consuming those contents can have a negative impact on one's life psychologically but in other to beat it, there must be a positive approach to things. One of such approach of showing a heart of thanks and gratitude and the big one is smiling. Putting a smile on the face shows a sign of happiness or hope in the believe things will get better tomorrow.

It might be hard but it is better to wear this look for many have succumbed to the ills of society, failing to find their feet and looking at things negatively. One does not need to be trapped in this web. A simple smile can go a long way in keeping those bad thoughts away while looking to a brighter and better tomorrow.
