Photojournalist missing for 2 days found dead in Abuja morgue

Photojournalist Yinka Adeparusi who had gone missing since Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Abuja is dead.

It has been confirmed that Adeparusi who left his apartment on Sunday with a brief ‘I’ll be back’ was found dead in a morgue in Abuja. The photojournalist died from a motor bike accident.

Yinka Adeparusi was an award winning photojournalist. He graduated from Lagos State University School of Communication, with double honours in Photojournalism and Cinematography and minor in Mass Communication.

Colleagues of Adeparusi described him as a "a soft-spoken, very professional and clear-headed individual."  He was said to be kind, loving, creative and hardworking. A consummate professional, Yinka Adeparusi won award in the United States a few months ago.

When it was announced that Yinka Adeparusi had gone missing, his colleagues and family members started looking for him. Calls to his mobile phones were not going through despite several attempts from friends and his colleagues to reach him.

His body was discovered in a morgue in Abuja where he resided today, Tuesday, November 15, 2016, hours after several news published articles that he had gone missing.

Prior to his death, Yinka Adeparusi was working for Naij.
