An Indian woman who was unhappy over her husband's dark skin has murdered him.

In a case that has been described as internal racism, a 22-year-old Indian woman, Farzana Bano, has murdered her husband, Farukh Malek, 22, by hitting him repeatedly with a hammer because his skin was too dark, India Times report.

The Petlad Police also confirmed arresting Bano after the deceased's family reported that she hit him on the head several times because she was unhappy about his dark skin.

While confessing to the murder, Bano allegedly told investigators that she was unhappy about her husband of two year's dark skin.

Neighbors also told the police that Malek had complained that his wife had refused to have sex with him because she hated his skin color.

This led to severe domestic violence and Bano left her husband and went to live with her parents in order to avoid her husband.

However, she returned ten days ago, and the couple resumed fighting over not having sex and on Wednesday night, Malek slapped Bano in the face during an argument.

The following morning, Malek asked Bano to accompany him to the farm. When they arrived, Bano grabbed a hammer and smashed her husband's head, killing him.
