Wife exposes husband who sleeps with 12-yr-old daughter

The petitioner alleged that her husband often engaged in sexual intercourse with his biological daughter.

Divorce.

A woman named Blessing Ilo has testified against her husband, James Akpan before a Nyanya Customary Court, Abuja based on allegation that the latter sleeps with his 12-year-old daughter.

According to Ilo who is a civil servant, the sordid act often occurs when she goes about her daily business.

As a result, she has asked the court's consent to terminate their marriage which seems too dramatic for her pleasure.

Narrating her experiences to the court, the petitioner said, “All the while I was living with my husband and that little girl of 12 years, I don’t know that my husband was always having sex with her when am out of the house.

“I would not have suspected anything because when my husband brought the little girl into the house, he told me that she was one of his children from another woman.

“Also, the girl was still a child that no sane man will lust after.”

In addition to her husband's shocking behaviour, Ilo stated that Akpan is also an irresponsible drunk who often messes up their residence with urine after having too much to drink.

“My husband always urinate around the house whenever he is drunk; sometimes on the bed or on the floor of the room.

“Worst of all, one day he woke up in the night and went straight to the kitchen, opened the bucket of drinking water and urinated into it," she said.

The unhappy woman also appealed to the court to grant her custody of the only child she had with the defendant who allegedly failed to provide for his family.

Despite three different invitations, Akpan was reported to have failed to turn up at the court to answer allegations brought against him.

Jemilu Jega, the judge assigned to the case has fixed Thursday, February 9, 2017 for further ruling on the matter.
