Valentine’s Day Series- Your Valentine? Think Again!!! by Kingsreal

Check it, so you have been eyeing this babe on campus, she notices but pays you no attention, you have tried so many times to get her to talk to you but she ignores you. Val is close, Bam! You want to go for the kill. You are going to ask her to be your Val, with the hope she’ll say yes (fool of course she’ll say yes, what has she got to lose?) and you eventually do and she does say yes, then the plan begins.

his is your opportunity to show her what she is missing, why you are the man for her, why she should be your girl. So you go all out to impress her, you spend big (not like you have it, you don’t mind emptying your savings, “she’s worth it you tell yourself) etc. You want to make it even special so you call to see if you can hang out on Val’s Day. She comes up with some funny excuse of how she can’t go out with you, she barely knows you and she would rather not go out on such a day (first clue, you miss it) you can’t be shaken, plan A still on course.

is finally here, you are still pondering on the best delivery style, should you send a delivery boy? Nah! You need to be there to see her face, probably get a hug, a peck or maybe even meet her friends (that would surely make your day!) It is done then, you shall deliver it at her doorstep yourself.

ine boy coming through, you are decked in your finest shirt, lovely pair of jeans and nice shoes to match. Your perfume is taking over the air, you are focused on the task ahead, the anticipation and anxiety is winning, you shake it off. You don’t have a car, well, her hostel is a walking distance, “I can walk down” you say to yourself, and then you think again, you certainly can’t be walking with so much to carry. Finally you settle for a Taxi, off you go to surprise your Valentine!

he female hostel is buzzing with so much activity, exotic cars of all colours and sizes are everywhere. The hostel compound looks like the site of a major concert, your taxi pulls by the side you step out feeling really cool, yet nervous. You pull yourself together and find your way through all the ciaos to find her room, you see so many known faces, a few guys calling out, you flash a smile, a few girls checking you out, you remain focused, now you are in front of her room, you are about to knock on the door when suddenly the door opens and a beautiful, drop dead gorgeous babe steps out, it turns out she’s your Val and she is all dressed up like someone on a date.

t this point you are so lost in her awesomeness that you forget she wasn’t supposed to be going out, you regain consciousness and manage to say one word; “Hi,” she looks at you almost like she’s forgotten who you actually are, so she goes; “errmm….” Rather than let her finish you remind her of who you are (The Mumu who Val’d her), you happen to be the only excited one, she looks like she is in a hurry. You notice and decide not to waste her time (like mumu you truly are), you wish her a happy Valentine’s Day and hand her the gifts! She looks impressed, flashes a smile and takes the gifts from you. She says; “Thank you so much, but I am sorry I didn’t get you anything,” you obviously weren’t expecting anything so you are not surprised, you reply; “its ok, the pleasure is all mine” (The perfect response from a mumu like you). She then gives you the you are ecstatic, you can’t believe your luck, you wish you could capture the moment on video.

ow you are back to reality, she is gone! You replay the events (Before you entered Fantasy Land), she had hugged you and promised to see you later and she was gone. In your joy from the hug earlier received you practically double you way out of the hostel, making you fast enough to catch as she steps into a , a tall handsome dude in a suit is by door and closes it after her in a gentlemanly fashion. Once again you are lost in this short performance, impressed by the beauty of the moment, before you are jolted by the reality that it is your so-called Valentine who has just be driven away in a car you can only dream of having.

lowly everything begins to come back to you, you are awake! You have just been scammed!!! Your heart broken into pieces, your savings gone! And all you got in return was a two seconds hug. You want to cry but nah, you are a big boy (Big boys don’t cry), you pull yourself together and begin to walk away, on your way, some babe flashes you a smile and says;
