Heartbroken Taiwanese man marries girlfriend's cremated ashes

A heartbroken man has been reported to have married the ashes of his girlfriend after being so heartbroken by her death.

The young man, called Mr Lai, had a wedding in Hsinchu village, Taiwan, along with a farewell ceremony with their friends and family.

Mr Lai reportedly wanted to show his commitment to his beloved girlfriend even after she was dead.

The tear filled ceremony ended with Mr Lai getting into a wedding car and driving off.
