Man murders sister in-law, kills self

A mentally disturbed man recently murdered his sister-in-law and went ahead to commit suicide.

Bloody knife

A man identified as Uba Okoroafor, threw residents of Hospital Road in Aba, Abia State, into confusion on Monday, July 20, when he allegedly stabbed his brother's wife to death to death before going ahead to kill himself in a murder-suicide case.

It was gathered that Okoroafor who had been exhibiting traces of mental imbalance in the past, got angry with his sister-in-law identified as Oyidiya, and stabbed her to death because she stopped him from going out because of the state of his health.

Realising the gravity of his action, Okoroafor reportedly turned the knife on himself, stabbing himself in the chest and fell off from the building to the ground where he died.

Sources say the incident was reported at the Ndiegoro Police Division, where the DPO, SP Crescent Mamah, deployed his men to the scene and they conveyed Oyidiya to a nearby hospital where she was confirmed dead by doctors.
