Police arrest traffic robber with toy guns

The Lagos State Police Command has begun a serious clampdown on criminals in the state and has vowed to chase them away.

According to ACP Abayomi Shogunle, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Complaint Response Unit, who posted the feat on his Twitter account, the 27-year-old suspect, Sunday Onjefu, was arrested on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Itedo bus stop, Lekki Phase 1 area.

Onjefu, an indigene of Benue State, was arrested by the Maroko Police Division while allegedly dispossessing some ladies of their handbags and other valuables, i the early hours of the day.

Uncannily, two plastic toy guns and a knife he used in threatening the ladies were recovered from him.
