Nigerian man dies after drugs he ingested bursts in his stomach in Indonesia

Another young Nigerian has lost his life after drugs he ingested burst in his stomach.

Cocaine bust

Despite widespread knowledge that most Asian countries, especially Indonesia, executes drug traffickers, some Nigerians do not seem to mind taking the risk as a 25-year-old man, Austin Chukwuma, has reportedly died in that country after the drug he had ingested and burst in his stomach.

The ugly incident happened on Sunday May 31, 2015, according to reports from that country.

The Indonesian Police said that Chukwuma had lodged at a hotel close to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport with a flight schedule out of the country the next day where he swallowed the drugs for outward smuggling but other guests were shocked when he ran out of the hotel screaming for help the next morning.

"Eye witnesses reported to the police that Austin Chukwuma, 25, was acting like a lunatic, breaking the glass of one of the cars and used it to cut himself as he tried to get the drug out of his system. He allegedly tore open his abdomen with pieces of glass.
