“Stop Disgracing Womanhood” – Lagos State DG Blasts Iyanya’s Dancers

The DeputyGovernor of LagosState, Mrs. OrelopeAdefulire, took time out to blast hip hop singer, female dancers, calling them a ‘disgrace to womanhood’, at the closing ceremony of MTNLagosStreetSoccer at the Campos Mini Stadium, Victoria Island.

The DeputyGovernor, who was the special guest of honour at the event, was not amused at the naked display put up by the crooner’s dancers as they entertained the crowd. The ladies, who were garbed in outfits that showed they had nothing underneath, came in for the scathing attack by the furious woman because of what she saw as an exhibition of nakedness in the name of entertainment.

Though the crowd seemed to enjoy the show of shame, the LagosState number two citizen frowned at the show of shame and did not hide her dismay.

After the performance, she called on the girls and the following ensued;

DeputyGovernor: I guess you are professional dancers?

Iyanya’sDancers: Yes, ma!

DeputyGovernor: If you must entertain without pants on, certainly not in a gathering like this. Just see how you are disgracing and degrading womanhood. Don’t try it again.

Iyanya’sDancers: Yes ma!

Hope they will take the woman’s words to heart and put a stop to the degradation of womanhood.
