Acting Director-General of The National Centre for Women Development, Abuja, Alhaji Abdulmalik Dauda, who recently succeeded Onyeka Onwenu has died.
Onyeka Onwenu's successor, Abdulmalik Dauda, dies in motor accident
The National Centre for Women Development, has announced the death Alhaji Abdulmalik Dauda, its Acting Director-General.
Mr Mohammed Aliyu, Protocol Officer to the Director-General, confirmed the news to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.
Aliyu revealed that the accident that claimed his life happened on Friday along Abuja-Kaduna expressway while he was returning from an official assignment.
The deceased only replaced veteran singer, Onyeka Onwenu, on February 16, 2016, following President Buhari's removal of 26 heads of government agencies and parastatals.
Born on Aug. 27, 1959, in Niger state, Dauda was survived by two wives and five children.
Aliyu added that the remains of Alhaji Dauda had been buried according to Islamic rites in his home town in Niger.
