Show Heats Up!... Joe and Kamar Leave Project Fame

The all new season of MTN Project Fame West Africa which started with 18 contestants from the Gala night has now come down to 15 contenders.

Last week, Emmanuel, Aziga, Joe, Kamar, Ethel and Zaliha were put on probation and this week, they had to sing the same songs that put them on probation.

After their performances on Friday, October 28, 2011, the judges confessed that the contestants did a good job this week so the decision was quite a difficult one to make. Votes from viewers at home saved Ethel while the judges after a long discussion saved Aziga. The Project Fame Academy Faculty saved Emmanuel and the remaining contestants who were not on probation saved Zaliha. This brought Joe and Kamar to the end of their journey in MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 4.

Joe and Kamar left the competition in grand style as they performed for the last time on the project fame stage. Afterwards, there was an eviction party for them at The Place, Ikeja; with fans and family coming out to celebrate with them.

And on Saturday, six contestants were again placed on probation after they entertained the audience with soft rock. “All of you blew us away with your performances. We are putting these six contestants up for eviction not because they did badly but because they were not exceptional.” said one of the judges, Kwame.

The contestants up for eviction next week are Ruth, Chidinma, Isaac, Velma, Aziga and Emmanuel. Aziga and Emmanuel were also on probation last week but escaped eviction so they have to fight to escape being evicted next week.

To vote for your favourite contestant, text his/her number to 306 from an MTN line. Each text costs N50 and voting ends this Friday.

MTN Project Fame is in its fourth season and has produced promising young artistes who are now making a mark in the music industry. Past winners of MTN Project Fame West Africa include, Mike, Iyanya and Chidinma.
