Yoruba movie producer who was arrested for allegedly stealing some iPhones from the Ikeja Computer Village has been charged to court by the police.

Seun Egbegbe allegedly arrested for stealing iPhones


Despite his insistence that he did not steal nine iPhones at the Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State, popular film producer, Seun Egbegbe has been charged to court by the Police.

Egbegbe, a former lover of Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, narrowly escaped death when irate traders at the market wanted to lynch him for stealing the phones from a shop on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

He was rescued by the police and taken into custody where he has been till today when he was charged to court.

Although Egbegbe had released a statement denying the allegations, claiming the reports were false and aimed at tarnishing his image and that he was even in his house at the time, checks at the Area 'F' Police Division proved that he had been in detention since then.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, Egbegbe was arraigned at the Ikeja Magistrates' Court on charges bordering on theft.
