Residents of Anibaba, Akele Street in Ikorodu, Lagos State, were thrown into confusion when the decomposing bodies of six unidentified women were discovered in a canal in the area and few days later, three more bodies were also discovered.

Decomposing bodies of women have been discovered in a canal in Lagos.
The first set of discovery was made on Sunday, December 6, 2015, and while the residents were still mulling on such a find, three other bodies have been found earlier today.
The State Police Command through its spokesperson, DSP Joseph Offor, the bodies of the women have been evacuated by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Agency officials have removed the corpses to a public mortuary for autopsy while investigations the circumstances leading to the death of the women are ongoing.
