Drowned Syrian child washes up on Turkish beach

He is one of 11 Syrian refugees believed to have died after they drowned trying to cross the Mediterranean on two boats bound for the Greek island of Kos.

The body of a Syrian child who drowned at sea as he & his family made their way by boat to the Greek Island of Kos.

His body was found, washed ashore on Wednesday morning, at a Turkish beach.

The little boy is pictured lying face down in the sand as an official stands over him.
