Ondo monarch’s wife killed after family pays N2M ransom

The Olori’s corpse was found at a meeting point in the state where her family was initially to drop the N2 million ransom.

The abducted wife of the Oba Lumure Ayelomi of Ayeka in the Okitipupa area of Ondo State, Olori Dupe has been found dead 10 days after she was reportedly kidnapped.

The Olori’s corpse was found at a meeting point where her family was to drop the ransom, Vanguard reports.

The kidnappers were initially said to have demanded a ransom of N30 million but accepted N2 million after pleas made by the family.

However, the Olori’s abductors were apparently dissatisfied with the amount and proceeded to take her life even after collecting the money.

A search party organized by the family reportedly stumbled upon the victim’s corpse around Ode-Aye, along Ore Road.

The incident has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Wole Ogodo who assured that the Olori’s killers would be fished out and justice would be done.
