Desmond plans to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere constituency come 2015.
The actor/producer/director who seeks to become 'an agent of change' had stated in the past that he had political ambitions and hoped to rule Lagos state one day and from all indications, Desmond means business.
It won't be the first time a celebrity is veering into the intrigue-filled world of politics; Nollywood actor and former Gulder Ultimate Search host, Bob Manuel-Udokwu is a Special Assistant in Anambra state while Nkiru Sylvanus also served as a Special Assistant in Imo state.

Also outside Nigeria, popular action movie hero Arnold Schwazzneger veered into politics and ruled California as governor for eight years while Chinese first lady Peng Liyuan was a popular Chinese folk singer before she traded the stage for the government house after her husband became president.
