Late Nelson Mandela Brings Hollywood To Tears

As news continue to spread about The Great Nelson Mandela’s death Hollywood stars have endlessly been pouring out heartfelt tributes to the fallen hero on all social networks. Championing the course is Oscar winner Charlize Theron alongside movie mogul Harvey Weinstein who was at the Royal premier of his new film, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom in London yesterday when the news broke.

Charlize Theron, a South African native, twitted, “There will never be words to say what I’m feeling right now. I am saddened to the depths of my soul. Truly”. Meanwhile 61 year old Weinstein reportedly told MailOnline: “One of the privileges of making movies is having the opportunity to immortalize those who have made a profound impact on humanity.” Producer Anant Singh added, “We count ourselves unspeakably fortunate to have been immersed in Nelson Mandela’s story and legacy. It’s been an honor to have been granted such proximity to a man who will go down as one of history’s greatest freedom fighters and advocates for justice.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who also attended the Royal Premier of the historic film, told reporters, “It’s extremely sad and tragic news. We were just reminded what an extraordinary and inspiring man Nelson Mandela was. My thought and prayers are with him and his family. It’s very sad.”

Idris Elba who played, ‘Mandela’ in the new film was reportedly in tears when the news broke and when he found words, he said, “What an honor it was to portray a man who defied odds, broke down barriers, and championed human rights before the eyes of the world”.

Mandela's daughter Zindzi, 55, has been promoting the movie at screenings in New York and last month attended a special screening at the White House in Washington DC. She looked overcome as she was ushered out of the premiere in London last night with her sister Zenani, according to on lookers.

Mr. Weinstein added: 'I have had the privilege of spending time with President Mandela and I can say his sense of humor was as great as his optimism.

'We are deeply saddened by his loss; our hearts go out to his family and the entire South African nation.'

Super star Rihanna immediately posted a picture of Mandela on her Instagram account, with the message: 'One of the greatest men who's ever lived!!! #Legend We will never forget the things this man has taught us, and we will never truly comprehend the level of strength that it took for him to endure many of his years!! Thank you #Mandela.'

Jennifer Hudson who played Mandela’s wife in the film, “Winnie Mandela” wrote “Mr. Mandela fought for freedoms and equality that changed South Africa and the world. We can all learn from his extraordinary journey.” Meanwhile, Victoria Secret model Alessandra Ambrossio tweeted “Mandel! His integrity and bravery in the pursuit of all has not only changed the history but has inspired the world. #truehero.”

Eddie Izzard wrote, “Nelson Mandela gives us a legacy that all of humanity can aspire to. Read his history for he might be the greatest person that has ever lived.” Kim Kardashian also joined the band on Instagram, “RIP Nelson Mandela…May your principles of love be the guiding light for future generations.”
