Like every other day, he hardly was conscious of the happenings around him till he felt the grip around his arm and a drape over his head. He had heard stories of kidnappers but now he had become a victim. He screamed but no one heard his tired voice. Baba knew it was hopeless...
Family Of Three Ruined!
Baba left home that early morning off to work. He had fought with Diana about Mina’s school fees. What kind of unsupportive woman was she? If he had the money, he would have paid it. He loved Mina too much and this stupid woman should know that. He didn’t blame her though, he blamed his employer. He blamed the government. He blamed the economy and blamed himself for being an African.
Tears trickled down Mina’s eyes as gun men lined them up and led them out of their school gate. The little girl remembered her mum and started crying. She was lost and alone.
Diana boarded the bus with a smile plastered on her face. She remembered her little girl, Mina. Closing her eyes for a quick nap, she lost consciousness of every other thing. Diana could hear loud noise in her sleep as she jerked back to reality. The bus had been hijacked. She knew she didn’t have the strength to struggle but she had to try. She joined the other hopeless passengers in the struggle for their lives. She was glad her husband and daughter were safe.
If Mina had been with her father, she would had been taken by ritualists, if she was with her mum, there is every possibility she would have ended up a victim.
