Gender equality is an issue in many places in the world today where male domination over women, has continued till present day.
Using Nigeria as a case study, our focus today is on female inheritance and equality with their male counterparts. According to customary laws in some areas, women are not entitled to equal inheritance like the males.
This inequality has existed for a long time causing conflicts among family members and creating rifts between siblings and relatives.
A lot of people have differing opinions on the subject and as much as equality seems the best option, many might not exactly agree.
