Nigerians do not want the Chairman of INEC, Attahiru Jega to be removed from the position with the general elections around the corner.
Rumours have been rife that he is on the verge of being replaced with a name even being bandied yesterday.
He was even reported to be set for his terminal leave in March, paving the way for the new man.
Though Prof. Jega himself has continued to say he will not leave his seat since his term of appointment is not like that of a civil servant and with just a few months left on his tenure, the rumour has refused to die down.
But Pulse Nigeria Poll voters are of the view that the man should be left to continue in position, seeing no reason for his removal now.
77.7% of voters say Prof. Jega should not be removed while only 22.3% voted that he should be removed.
