Readers say they will report a spouse who is a criminal to the police

80% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters agree that they will report a spouse who has criminal tendencies to the police.

Confused Laura

A Pulse reader sent in a letter requesting for advice from other fans over a dilemma she has been facing.

In the letter, the reader, Laura, said her husband is an Internet fraudster and she is confused with being a good wife and a good citizen.

Part of the letter reads:

"My name is Laura and I have been married to this wonderful man, IK, for the past two years but in recent times, I am no more comfortable with his lifestyle.

People look at me differently anytime they see me and make snide comments. I have had the police and the EFCC harass me anytime they come for IK and he is no where to be found.

My husband is an unrepentant Internet fraudster and I am in two minds on what to do. I know many will ask whether I did not know what he was into before marrying him and I will say that I did not know at the initial stage when we were dating.

I have threatened to leave him before and he always begged me to give him the last chance but he is not in any hurry to stop.

Now I am contemplating telling the police about what my husband is doing.

Do you think this is the right step for me to take?"

80 percent of the voters on the poll agreed that they would report such a spouse while 20 percent said it was not their business what their spouses do for a living. But no reader voted that will not.
