66% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters say they will marry a woman who was once a prostitute as circumstances could have led her into the trade.

A confused man needs advice

Read the letter here:

"My name is Philip, a 38-year-old man who is in a very serious dilemma and needs advice from fellow readers, because what I am going through now is about to derail all the good plans I had for my life.

I met when I went back to my home town in the December of 2014 and I was struck with her beauty. I never believed that such a pretty lady was in my village, so when I asked around, I learnt that she had lived most part of her life in Lagos.

I asked her out and we started a relationship and since my parents had been on my neck to get married and give them grand children, I took her to meet my parents.

Loveth was well accepted and my parents commended me on my good choice, saying she is from a good home and would make a good wife.

When we got back to Lagos, we began making plans for our wedding though Loveth refused to move in with me till we got married. Even when she came to spend the weekend, she would get some calls even in the dead of night and when I asked, she said they were her friends.

But her cover was blown in last month when a close friend who is also from our home town came to visit me from another part of Lagos. That weekend, I called Loveth to come around and prepare some local meals for us. When she came, she and my friend were shocked to see each other and I could tell she was not comfortable with him around.

She gave me an excuse and hurriedly left. I knew there was more to it and I asked my friend if she knew her. He did not tell me until I persuaded him for a very long time, telling him Loveth was my fiancée and I needed to know if I was making a mistake.

My friend then opened up that Lovethwho lived in a hotel in his area and that he and many of his friends had even slept with her several times.

I could not believe my ears and called her to confirm from her mouth. When she came, she confessed that she was actually a prostitute but that she was no longer into the trade.

She begged me to forgive her and not to abandon her now that her family is preparing for our marriage which had been fixed for June this year.

But how would I look at my family if they found out that my wife was a prostitute? How would I live with the fact that my friends had slept with my wife? How would I even get it out of my system that my wife used to be a prostitute?

Philip."
