Readers say they will divorce a spouse who calls another person's name during sex

44.44% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters believe any spouse that calls out another person's name during sex should be divorced.

On May 1st, 2015, a Pulse reader, Anthony Madu, wrote in seeking for advice on what he should do after his wife called out names of three different men while they were making love.

This is part of what he wrote:

"My name is Anthony Madu and I have been married for four years. My wife, Tessy, and I have always had a very satisfying sex life but in the past three months, something has happened that has made me doubt my wife's fidelity to our marital vows.

I can beat my chest and say that since we got married, I have never cheated on my wife but that, I cannot say for her.

My suspicion and doubts stem from the fact that on the different occasions, my wife has called out another man's name in the heat of passion.

The first time it happened was when she called the name of her ex-boyfriend while we were making love.

When I demanded an explanation, she begged me and said she did not know when she called his name.

But a month later, she screamed the name of a man I have never heard before. This time around, any explanation from her was never acceptable."

There were options like divorcing the spouse, forgiving the offender, reporting the matter to the families or to stop having sex with the partner and the result of the poll had 44.44 percent of voters saying they would divorce the spouse. 33.33 percent voted for reporting the offender to the parents while it was a tie of 11.11 percent for those who said they would forgive the spouse and those who would stop having sex with the offending spouse.

How Nigeria voted:

44.44 % - Divorce him/her

11.11 % - Forgive the spouse

33.33 % - Report the offender to both parents

11.11 % - Stop having sex with the spouse
